It all started with our daughter's love for books and our son’s urge to make new jigsaw puzzles every day. Buying all was difficult and stocking everything at home was all the more tedious!
A book or a toy has a day to week’s life until it's worth a collectible. Henceforth, it is difficult to dispose it off or even stock it. That's the dilemma we also faced each day. The space became less as books and toys started piling up.
Moreover in this high tech world, it was impossible to ignore our kids reading and playing needs even if it was hard on space or money!
Then there were many friends who wanted to inculcate the habit of reading in their children and were looking for a place they could depend upon. That is when we felt the need and started the library from a room in our apartment with a collection of 400 books and 100 toys. With the Grace of God and huge Support of our Members we have grown manifold!
Out of all toys and books developed/manufactured or printed in the market, only a few reach the consumer. They are either available in fairs or parents have to hunt around different places/sites for different types of books and toys and educational resources. The exposure is also limited to popular books and toys which parents or children know from their peers or online research.
There are many beautiful and extraordinary books which never meet their eye and they miss reading them.
The treasure Trove was started with the aim to collect all these beautiful resources at one place whether it’s a well known or lesser known toy brand or popular or lesser known books. Children and parents can find all under one roof, utilize them in the most economical way and save lot of time and energy !!
Books and Toys are a store house of imagination, knowledge, illustrations, strategy, logic, concentration and fun.
More kids use them, more they grow and learn. A library membership helps in bringing unlimited books and toys in kids lives without making a hole in parents pockets.
Using a variety of toys and books will also help parents to experiment and understand the core interest of their child. Soon few books and toys will become their favourite. The ones they would not want to part with! Those are the resources worth investing in!
Parents can buy the books or toys which children enjoy and love rather than picking anything at random from the market and realizing later that it was a complete waste of money!!
Another important factor was to implement the mantra - Reduce Reuse and Recycle. If we all start using libraries, imagine the paper and plastic load we can reduce on our planet!!
Use the library and leave lesser carbon footprints!! It's an important contribution to the environment!
