The Magic Faraway Tree

The main characters in these books are three siblings, Bessie, Jo, and Fanny. The youngest is Fanny, next in age is Bessie, and their big brother is Jo. In The Enchanted Wood story Bessie, Jo, and Fanny have shifted their residence to the country and find an enchanted wood close to their house. There is a magic Faraway Tree in the wood and it is home to some magical characters. They are, Silky the fairy, Moon-Face, and Saucepan Man, who become their friends. Along with them, they visit the strange lands including the Land of Ice and Snow, the Roundabout Land, the Land of Take What You Want, and Toyland. These lands lie at the top of the tree and the children have very exciting adventures and barely manage to escape. In The Folk of the Faraway Tree, Connie, an arrogant friend visits Bessie, Jo, and Fanny. Connie doesn't believe in the story of the Faraway Tree and the magical people like Silky the fairy, Moon-face, and Saucepan Man living there. To prove her wrong, the children take her along and climb the tree, and visit few of the lands at its top including the Land of Treats and the Land of Secrets. The Magic Faraway Tree story is about Bessie, Jo, Fanny, and their cousin, Dick, going on an unforgettable adventure to the magic Faraway Tree. There they meet Silky the fairy, Moon-Face, and Saucepan Man, and visit all the different lands at the top of the Faraway Tree. The lands they visit are the crazy Land of Topsy-Turvy, the Land of Spells, and the Land of Do-As-You-Please, where the children ride a runaway train.
